FINDING YOUR BLISS STATION

"You got me so inspired about that " Bliss Station " you talked about in class today that I thought I would be the
first to take a picture of my own ' Bliss Station " for the blog.. hopefully others will follow....and we can have a full
blog of bliss places.... " - Mike
This week during Yoga practice, I asked everyone "where is your bliss station?" My favorite mythologist, Joseph Campbell, posed this question to all of us, and it was echoed recently in 'Yoga For Joyful Living' magazine:
" As you get older, the claims of the environment upon you are so great that you hardly know where the (heck) you are. what is it that you intended? You're always doing something that is required of you this minute, that minute, another minute. Where is your bliss station? ...You must have a room or a certain hour a day or so where you do not know what was in the newspapers that morning. You don't know who your friends are. You don't know what you owe to anybody or what anybody owes to you. But a place where you can simply experience what you are and what you might be. This is the place of creative incubation. First you may find that nothing is happening there. but if you have a sacred place & use it and take advantage of it, something will happen."

Drs. Avinash & Bharati Lele Spicing our Life!

Ayurveda teaches the importance of digestion and assimilation on every level, so while Jeffrey has been on the East coast sharing his Soulful presence with two big groups in Vermont & New York, I have taken some quiet time to absorb the excitement and learnings of recent weeks. Our dear friends and Ayurvedic teachers from Pune, India have once again come and gone, after generously sharing their wisdom and love with so many of us in Coeur d Alene. Their lively presence has inspired and agni-fied(!) our paths to radiant health of body and mind as well as joy & peace of Heart. Their lecture at NIC introduced the subjects of Panchakarma, Women's Health and Ayurvedic Nutrition and Cooking , which previewed the spirited and informative workshops on the weekend. 24 cooking enthusiasts gathered in the kitchen at Blue Lotus Sanctuary to prepare rice, chapatis, payasam, kheer, chutney, subji (veggie delight) & lassi with an eye to harmonizing everyone's constitution thru the six tastes and dosha appropriate condiments.
A feast for soul & body!
